Ian Ferguson

I am a lawyer and entrepreneur. I am a founder, board director and General Counsel of Elixirr International plc, an Aim-listed business strategy consulting company. Prior to that I was a founder and commercial director of Collaboration Platform Services. I was a partner at Olswang in Singapore, the London office of US firm, Pillsbury, and was the Global Head of the Communications, Media and Technology Group at Allen & Overy LLP and co-Head of the firm's international Outsourcing practice, where I practiced for over 25 years.

I am interested in helping lawyers who are looking to build on their commercial acumen to advance their careers, whether as enterprising young lawyers, individuals considering in-house as an opportunity for a more business-oriented role, in-house lawyers looking to move into a purely business role, or as founders of a business.

Over 40 years I have seen and experienced many ups and downs, and remarkable turns in fortune. I know that with the right support people are often capable of stepping up and achieving much more than they realise. I am, therefore, eager to look for the core drivers and skills in people, offer encouragement, a can-do approach, and my backing.
