Jo Holdsworth

Before becoming a full time artist in 2017, I was a commercial and outsourcing lawyer at Linklaters for 7 years, after which I joined the IPIT team at Practical Law, where I also launched and ran the Public Sector service.

I am happy to help any lawyers who are thinking of combining their legal work with another passion in their lives, particularly art. I can also pass on my experience of what it is like to work in legal publishing compared to private practice.

My experience as an artist, as well as a lawyer, has taught me the value of perspective, and I have always tried to bring that to any mentoring conversation I have. I am an optimist and enthusiast and enjoy encouraging people to pursue their dreams. But I am also a realist and believe in speaking truly to people, albeit in a supportive way.
