Veronica Blackmore

I have been a capital markets lawyer for over 30 years, first at Allen Overy, where I was a partner for 7 years, before moving to US firm, Sullivan & Cromwell, as a partner for the last 17 years. In that time I have managed and mentored many teams and individuals and seen a variety of cultures.

I am happy to share my experience with anyone who is weighing up a career as a transactional lawyer in an international firm, and the trade-offs that typically requires.

I believe the legal profession is full of smart, capable people, who make great friends as well as colleagues. I am always keen to encourage associates to play to their strengths and enjoy their work as much as they can. I am a careful listener. My communication style is warm, honest and direct.
